People who like the store can then buy the gift card, and use it when they go shopping. The end result is that the seller gets cash to bank or spend at a store they like, and the buyer gets a gift card worth more than what they paid. Its a win win situation.

My Advice

Definitely use discounted gift cards for big purchases like TV's and laptops, but you might not want to use them for every purchase (it can lead to buying more things than you should). I also suggest banking whatever you save from this method. That way you wont be as tempted to spend that money and your savings account will grow.
